Eight months after UBM Americas appointed Chris DeMoulin as managing director of its fashion business, the executive has exited the post.
A company spokesperson said: “We have a very strong group of fashion category leaders still driving the business through this exciting period of growth and integration. Our goal remains the same — to provide finely segmented and tailored shows to serve the needs of every fashion category, ultimately curating the best possible experience for our buyers and brands.”
DeMoulin, who ran UBM’s licensing and automotive businesses until his appointment as managing director last November, served as president of Magic from 2008 through 2012.
Meanwhile, Leslie Gallin, president of footwear for UBM, is busy plotting the next FN Platform show, set for Aug. 15 to 17.
“FN Platform will have some great new celebrity brand launches, and a few heritage brands will reveal some major product repositioning. We also are excited about our opening-night concert with Wilson Phillips. It will be a wonderful kickoff to the show, [featuring] a live performance in the FN Café.”
New brands at FN Platform this time include Bill Blass, Chippewa, Creative Recreation, John White and Magritte.
Elsewhere in the business, UBM bought Business Journals Inc. earlier this year for $69 million.
