Standout Street Style: New York Fashion Week 2015

When New York Fashion Week rolls around, it’s not just about the runway collections. True fashion followers keep their eyes on the show’s attendees as well, to spot trends every bit as important as what comes down the catwalks.

There’s no dress code for Fashion Week — nothing is off-limits. That means you see everything from sneakers to glam heels. So far, standouts we’ve spotted include heels by Saint Laurent and Sophia Webster’s Chiara butterfly sandals.

Sneakers are a street-style favorite, of course, and this week, they’ve run the gamut from Dior Fusions to bright aqua Converse Chuck Taylors to Adidas and Nike. Unlike heels, sneakers play double duty as both a comfortable and chic option.

Despite the end-of-summer New York City humidity, plenty of Fashion Week attendees opted for fall’s best boots. Blogger Lyndsey Zorich sported black suede knee-high boots by Saint Laurent.

Still, some attendees stuck with sandals. Blogger Emma Sousa chose Calvin Klein’s chunky cork sandals with silver straps, and another blogger, Khia Mevcev, chose gold-and-camel Loeffler Randall block-heel sandals.
