Michelle Obama has been hitting some high notes when it comes to fashion recently. The First Lady stepped out in a custom Vera Wang dress for the state dinner on Friday and was also spotted in a pair of standout silver shoes by Jimmy Choo with a Carolina Herrera dress while greeting the Pope in Washington D.C.
With such attention being paid to her wardrobe in the past couple of days, it’s also been pretty clear that Michelle Obama is sticking to her favorite shoe brand.
From official business surrounding the Pope’s visit to attending several press events, Jimmy Choo is the First Lady’s go-to. Whether it’s the Atilla flat or the Anouk pump, Obama loves a Choo moment.
Earlier this year, for a tour in Europe, the First Lady was spotted wearing Jimmy Choo styles while out in London and also wore Choo at the start of 2015 while on an official trip to India with President Obama.
We asked Jimmy Choo Creative Director Sandra Choi about the impact of the First Lady wearing the brand while on official business.
“Michelle Obama is a woman of our time: confident, glamorous, stylish, adores fashion, relatable,” Choi told FN earlier this year. “That’s what makes it a special honor to see her wearing [our brand].”
“She has an inner confidence and radiance that is reflected in the way she dresses. I like the way she supports young designer talent, mixing [the shoes] with more established brands,” Choi continued. “Her fashion choices are never inappropriate.”
