Converse Jack Purcell Unveils Jungle Cloth Update

Converse‘s iconic Jack Purcell style is getting a wild update. The Converse Jack Purcell Signature Jungle Cloth debuted today, featuring the Jungle Cloth materials in both Nighttime Navy and Sand Dune hues.

The inspiration comes from 1940s navy deck jackets. The cloth was constructed from “a densely woven, water-repellent Bedford cord upper and canvas inner lining to deliver protection from seasonal elements.”

Priced at $110, the styles will sell at Converse stores, Converse.com and Nordstrom.

The Converse Jack Purcell Signature launched for spring 2015 as an update to the historic style. The new edition featured benefits like an Ortholit footbed, Nike Zoom Air Technology, an open-weave forefoot and now, Jungle Cloth material designed for winter wear.

The brand made headlines this summer when it released an update to another iconic style, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II. Plus, the brand released a Jack Purcell collaboration with Hancock in playful colors like juice, teal and orange.
