Vans has teamed up with renowned artist Taka Hayashi on a special capsule line featuring colorful Pendleton wool.
Hayashi designed a custom Pendleton blanket, inspired by one of his paintings, which serves as the centerpiece of the collection. Using the Southwestern-themed pattern, Hayashi put a new spin on two iconic Vault by Vans styles.

The Classic Slip-On has been updated with a moccasin-inspired silhouette, detailed with saddle-leather trim and an embossed midsole wrap. The Sk8-Hi has been reimagined as the TH Sk8 Huarache LX, featuring patterned fabric quarter-panels and an embellished, laser-etched heel counter. The fabric swatches are hand-cut and hand-stitched to the sneakers’ uppers, so no two pairs are the same.

Set for global release on Nov. 28, the shoes are priced from $120 to $150. Hayashi’s Pendleton blanket will also be available for purchase, for $285. The roster of U.S. retailers stocking the collection includes Barneys New York, Conveyor, Bodega, Nice Kicks, Undefeated and The Webster.
