Vans Syndicate, the skate brand’s label that caters exclusively to select independent skateboard retailers, will wrap up its 10-year anniversary celebration with the release of a collaboration with premium Japanese menswear label and longtime collaborator, WTAPS.
The Vans Syndicate WTAPS Authentic S will hit stores tomorrow and retail for $80.
The shoe features a simple color palette featuring tonal yellow and black, using a mustard color from the shoe’s collar to its sole, with the Japanese brand’s wings branding on the shoe’s canvas panel. Aside from its canvas panel, the shoe uses soft suede on its upper. The WTAPS wings branding also appears in black on the shoe’s mustard yellow laces.
The shoe also features yellow gum rubber foxing tape, the label’s signature Syndicate 10th Anniversary logos, Ultracush HD footbeds, and its original waffle gum sole.

September, the label released the Seylynn S designed by fashion label OAMC’s creative director and co-founder Luke Meier, and in October the label released a pair of shoes for the anniversary: the Andy Kessler Sk8-Hi Reissue NYC S and the Max Schaaf Mountain Edition 4Q S.
For the 10th anniversary of the Vans Syndicate collection, the label collaborated with several of its original collaborators, including Mr. Cartoon, Andy Kessler, Max Schaaf, Luke Meier, and WTAPS.
