Casual-wear retailer Uniqlo has expanded its footwear offering with the addition of men’s sneakers.

The Japan-based chain, known for its colorful apparel, has rounded out its slipper offering with a two-style collection of canvas looks. The move is designed to attract consumers with an expanded offering of accessories that currently includes hats, scarves and bags.

Parent company Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. said in a statement, “The addition of shoes allows customers to fully coordinate their outfit according to individual style and preference.”

The shoe collection includes a canvas slip-on and a lace-up sneaker in five colors featuring outsoles that grip and cushioned footbeds, retailing for $34.90. They are currently available at Uniqlo stores in the U.S., South Korea and China, with Japan to follow later this month. Stores in France will receive them in June.

Overseas growth has been key to Fast Retailing’s aggressive goal of becoming the world’s leading retailer by 2020. According to the company, it plans to have more stores overseas than at home by late 2015.
