Under Armour is wasting no time capitalizing on its latest signature shoe for reigning NBA MVP and leader of the 2015 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry. The first colorway of the Curry Two, Iron Sharpens Iron, drops tomorrow, with the second colorway to hit stores next week.
The Curry Two Dub Nation, a nod to the Warriors’ home crowd, is scheduled for release Tuesday and will retail for $130.
The shoe features the bright and bold Warriors colors, a predominantly cobalt blue upper with hints of taxi yellow. The Under Armour branding on the upper and the “SC” branding on the tongue and toe cap are also taxi yellow. The brand’s academy blue is also featured on the shoe’s upper, making up much of the heel counter. The midsole features all three colors and is completed with a taxi yellow outsole.
The Curry Two features a UA SpeedForm seamless upper and is the first of the brand’s basketball shoes to use its Charged Cushioning midsole unit throughout the full length of the shoe.
Before the Dub Nation, Under Armour released the shoe’s first colorway, Iron Sharpens Iron, inspired by Curry’s commitment to leadership on and off the court. It features a gray upper with yellow hints, and an orange midsole that fades to yellow and boasts speckles.
