PONY’s Product Of New York Debuts Collection At Pop-Up Shop & Online

On Aug. 17 at 11:00 a.m. EST, ’70s retro sneaker brand Pony will kick it up a notch with the launch of its fall ’15 collection of lifestyle looks from its premium brand, Product of New York.

The line is inspired by archival Pony looks, updated in modern colors and luxe materials. Included in the offering are running styles, high-tops and low-tops, including the reintroduction of Pony’s classic M-110 high-top, first released in 1990.

This time around, the collection focuses on a sophisticated color palette that includes gray, sand, cream, black and oxblood. Each pair comes equipped with a branded shoe horn, shoe trees, a canvas dust bag, a lace pouch and three sets of laces.

“I stripped down what I didn’t like about what the [industry] was doing,” said Alex Crawford, a senior designer for Pony, about the collection’s clean silhouettes, which can be dressed up or down. “[The shoes are] ultra-modern and ultra-minimal.”

If you’ll be out shopping in New York on Aug. 15 or Aug. 16, the shoes will be available prior to the online launch at the brand’s pop-up shop, located at 129 Prince St., starting at 11:00 a.m.

Along with online sales on the company’s website, Productofnewyork.com, the new collection will be carried by select retailers starting Aug. 17.
