This weekend, sneakerheads will again be draining their bank accounts to pick up the latest and greatest from Reebok, Nike and New Balance.
Check out what the new releases for this weekend, starting Friday.
Reebok Taps the ’90s Vault for the Kamikaze
Reebok will release a ’90s-themed version of its classic Kamikaze style. Although the shoe is mostly white, it has multicolor neon accents throughout the upper and tongue. The shoe will retail for $125.
Nike Kobe X Elite
Fans of the extended high-top construction of past Kobe Elite sneakers from Nike will be pleased with Friday’s release. The sneaker giant will unveil a predominantly violet Kobe X Elite on Friday, with a white and volt outsole and white accents throughout the shoe. The style retails for $225.
Nike LeBron 12 Elite
Also launching Friday from Nike is a sneaker from the only athlete in the company’s Elite series who’s playing in the NBA playoffs this season, Lebron James. The Cleveland star’s latest signature shoe, the LeBron 12 Elite, gets a bold makeover, boasting a predominantly university-red upper, with bright citrus, bright crimson and white accents and a translucent outsole. It retails for $275.
If Kevin Durant wasn’t sidelined with a foot injury, chances are the Oklahoma City Thunder player would be in the playoffs — and you would see his latest Nike signature shoe on his feet. The latest KD7, hitting shelves Friday, boasts a bold blue graphite, bright citrus, dove gray and volt colorway and retails for $200.
New Balance and Concepts Team Up for Boston NB 574
The sneaker brand and the Boston retailer collaborated on the special-edition NB 574, coming out the weekend before the Boston Marathon. Hitting shelves at the retailer’s Cambridge, Mass., location on Saturday, the Boston NB 574 features a two-tone blue suede upper, a gray suede heel that boasts an image of the city’s skyline and the words “Boston 2015” etched in gold, with navy Horween leather panels. The sneaker retails for $170.
