Mother’s Day isn’t the only important event going on this weekend, as sneakerheads have a number of releases to choose from to add to their collections.
Check out what Adidas and Nike have to offer this weekend.
Adidas SL Loop Racer Chromatech
The brand with three stripes is set to release an updated version of its SL Loop Racer on Friday. The shoes will feature Chromatech material, which changes color as the material expands and contracts. The shoes will come in three colorways: gray, black and white; yellow, black and white; and gunmetal, black and white.
Nike KD 7 Elite EYBL
Kevin Durant is typically a playoff staple, but with the star forward being injured most of the regular season, his Oklahoma City Thunder missed the playoffs. Still, Nike is releasing a new version of his signature shoe during the NBA playoffs, the KD & Elite EYBL. The Elite Youth Basketball League edition features a metallic rose gold upper with a white swoosh, laces, lining and outsole. The shoe will be released Friday and retails at $220.
Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Canvas Mexico City
Hitting shelves Saturday is a limited edition skate shoe paying homage to Mexico City’s thriving skate scene and the Nike SB Templo Mayor skate park with the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Canvas Mexico City. The wolf grey, white, university red and black colorway retails at $90.
Nike Kyrie 1 Wolf Grey
Two of Nike’s signature shoe-wearing athletes are still in the playoffs, but only one has a release coming out this weekend. Kyrie Irving’s signature shoe, the Kyrie 1, will get a gray makeover. The shoe, available outside of the states on Saturday for $110, is predominantly gray, with a white swoosh and outsole.
