K-Swiss, Diplo Collaborate to Form Brand-Building Team

K-Swiss is taking user engagement to the next level. The heritage tennis brand has partnered with world-renowned DJ and entrepreneur Diplo to build a team of 100 people to create and implement new ideas to elevate the brand’s stature and outreach. “The Board” will be led by Diplo and any interested person can apply to be a part of the group.

“Young people want their own brands, their own voice and their own businesses. K-Swiss is committed to outfitting and inspiring this generation of entrepreneurs,” said Barney Waters, chief marketing officer of K-Swiss Global Brands, in a statement. “We have created a program with substance, where our customers get involved in the process of rebuilding K-Swiss and make real contributions.”

Applications will be accepted online from March 18 to April 30. Accepted applicants will join an online community and take a six-course class that will be led by industry insiders. The Board members will take part in projects relating to K-Swiss’ business — from brand positioning to sneaker design, social media promotion and business-plan drafting.
