LUCKY SEVEN: Milan-based shoppers need to be brave on Saturday, as they might not be able to snatch a pair of the coveted all-black Yeezy 750 sneaker boots.
“We are going to have seven pairs in store tomorrow,” said Davide Marre, store manager of street wear store Inner in the Navigli district. “We received the confirmation for the shoes at the beginning of the week, and since then the phones have been ringing.” The store originally planned to do a silent release, but had to confirm with customers, when the official retailer list was published.
To avoid unfair treatment and trouble among the expected crowd of up to 150 people, Inner is doing a raffle as many other retailers and will start distributing tickets on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (CET), one ticket per person with mandatory ID.
“Honestly, for us it’s going to be difficult tomorrow, so we have already told some customers that it’s maybe not that easy to win a pair here,” said Marre and noted that winners would be drawn at 11:00 a.m. “It will be crazy, but I know there are some stores that already have people waiting outside. Adidas Originals is doing a raffle too and I think they started to distribute tickets on Tuesday,” he added.
Fans, who don’t want to test their luck with the raffle on Saturday, also have the chance to purchase a pair earlier via the website of concept store Antonioli. For the previous release of the Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers in November, the store had also organized a raffle, but announced via its Instagram account on Thursday, that the Yeezy 750s would only be available online, starting from midnight 12:00 a.m. (CET) on Dec.19.
