House of Hackney Reimagines Four Classic Puma Silhouettes

Four classic Puma silhouettes received makeovers for spring, courtesy of East London fashion and interiors brand House of Hackney. The spring ’15 collaboration on Puma’s R698, Suede, Star and Becker OG is the second joint effort for the brands.

House of Hackney’s husband-and-wife founding duo, Javvy Royle and Frieda Gormley, applied two distinct floral prints to the iconic sneaker models.

The R698, Star and Becker OG boast the London brand’s Palmeral print, a white base with green palm leaves. The Art Deco-inspired floral pattern pays tribute to the 18th and 19th century Hackney-based plant nursery, Loddiges. The Suede received the brand’s Midnight Garden print, a much darker floral pattern on a predominantly black upper with a black outsole.

To accompany the shoes, the brands collaborated on apparel, including Puma’s T7 track jacket and select windbreakers in the Palmeral and Midnight Garden prints.

The R698 is available now at U.K.-based retailers Oki-Ni and End Clothing. The other shoes in the collection will be available for spring ’15 but do not currently have a release date.
