US Open: Djokovic, Nadal and Raonic Play Third-Round Matches Today

The third round of the US Open’s singles matches is under way, and top men’s athletes from Adidas, Nike and New Balance still competing to hoist the tournament’s trophy.

Adidas’ Novak Djokovic, the top-ranked men’s player in the world, is set to face 25th-ranked Andreas Seppi in the third round of the tournament. The match is set for 3 p.m. Djokovic defeated 91st-ranked Joao Souza in the first round and 52nd-ranked Andreas Haider-Maurer in the second round to advance.

New Balance-endorsed Milos Raonic will take the court at 5 p.m. against 18thranked Feliciano López. To get to the third round, Raonic defeated 99th-ranked Tim Smyczek in the first round and 42ndranked Fernando Verdasco in the second round.

Nike’s eighth-ranked pro, Rafael Nadal, will take on 32nd-ranked Fabio Fognini at 9 p.m. Nadal defeated 33rd-ranked Borna Ćorić in the first round and 74th-ranked Diego Schwartzman in the second round to advance.

According to online sports betting service Sky Bet, Djokovic is the favorite to win the tournament, followed by Nadal (20-1) and Raonic (100-1). Djokovic won the US Open in 2011, and Nadal is a two-time winner, hoisting the trophy in 2010 and 2013. Djokovic and Nadal are familiar US Open foes, having defeated one another en route to their previous tournament victories.
