The next installment of the lucrative Sylvester Stallone-led Rocky movie franchise debuts tomorrow with “Creed” making its way to the big screen. Throughout the film, Jordan Brand can be spotted on the movie’s star, Michael B. Jordan.
While out promoting the upcoming film, Jordan trained with athletes in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago like he did when preparing for the role of Adonis Johnson, the son of Rocky’s foe and later friend, Apollo Creed. Jordan participated in boxing and strengthening with the attendees, transitioning from the ring to the weight room. The athletes training with Jordan were wearing various colorways of the brand’s Flight Flex Trainer 2 silhouette.
“When I read the ‘Creed’ script for the first time, I started thinking about what I fight for and it made the whole project resonate with me,” Jordan said in a statement. “Fitness and hard work have always been prioritized in my career which made the role and being part of the Jordan Brand training experience an easy decision.”
In the movie, Jordan’s character wears a variety of Jordan Brand shoes, including the coveted sneakerhead favorite Air Jordan 11.
Jordan Brand is no stranger to boxing, as one of the sport’s best and brightest stars, Andre Ward, is sponsored by the label.
