With the coveted all-black Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 ready to hit stores on Saturday, the brand released an animated concept video of the shoe today.
The 15-second video of the latest collaboration between the Germany-based brand and rap superstar Kanye West shows how the shoe was constructed, from the original sketch of the upper and outsole to choosing the textures of the materials and more.
The all-black version of the Yeezy 350 is the third collaboration between Adidas and West. It boasts a black Primeknit upper with dark gray accents, an all-black outsole using the brand’s Boost cushioning technology and dark gray laces with black accents.
It took only 42 minutes after the brand announced on its Adidas Originals Twitter account that reservations for the shoe through its Adidas Confirmed mobile app were closed, with all of the available pairs being reserved. Adidas made 350 pairs available to reserve per city in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
This edition of the shoe is the first in the line to be offered in half sizes. The Yeezy Boost 350’s retail price is $200.
