The D Rose 6 will feature a new design. In February, Adidas released the D Rose 5 Boost Superstar Edition, which features Adidas’ signature shell toe. Earlier that month, the brand also released a D Rose Boost 5 Brenda that honored Rose’s mother by keeping the shoe in her favorite color, red.
After battling a right knee injury that kept him out for six weeks, Rose returned to the court wearing the Brenda style. During the NBA playoffs in May, Rose wore the white, gray, black and red player’s edition of the D Rose Boost 5.
After his injury, FN tapped several sports industry analysts to get their take on whether Rose’s injury would impact sales. While some said Rose’s lack of on-court presence would hurt, others claimed it wouldn’t have a significant impact on sales.
The single photo Adidas has released so far shows Rose holding the new style in black, white and red. It looks like Adidas made some major design changes since the D Rose 5. No word yet on how much the style will retail for. Check back for updates as we get more information.
