Adidas has released a number of different colorways of its signature shoe for NBA superstar Damian Lillard, the D Lillard 1. Today, fans of the player and the shoe can pick up an Oakland-inspired colorway, which is a collaboration with his hometown clothing store, Oaklandish.
“They are committed to bettering the community,” Lillard said about Oaklandish in a statement. “Their message hits home with me, and I wanted to create a unique shoe that shares their mission to rep Oakland.”
The shoe, according to Adidas, was designed to promote and celebrate Oakland’s spirit and pays tribute to the NBA All-Star’s neighborhood roots.
The Oaklandish collaboration features a suede and leather black upper with yellow accents, with a yellow midsole and white outsole with black speckles. The shoe uses the brand’s Sprintframe upper for stability, Adiprene+ cushioning in the forefoot, and a Techfit bootie. Lillard’s logo appears on the shoe’s insole and heel, while Oaklandish branding can be seen in multiple spots on the shoe, including the sock liner, underneath its transparent outsole, on the heel tab and at the bottom of the shoe’s lacing system. The words “All Gas” and “No Brakes” also appears on the bottom of the shoe.
The shoe retails for $105; in addition to the shoe, apparel is available, including t-shirts, hats and hooded sweatshirts.
