The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Royal Family gathered for quite the ceremony on Sunday afternoon in Cambridge, England. The newest little royal, Princess Charlotte, just over a month old, was christened into the Church of England and the whole family was on hand.
Dressed in an Alexander McQueen dress coat and Jane Taylor hat, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton arrived with her family pushing Charlotte in a vintage baby pram.
Charlotte’s christening dress is a replica of an earlier gown created for Queen Victoria’s daughter in 1841, and also was worn by older brother George when he was christened last year. The gown was made by Angela Kelly, the Dressmaker to the Queen.
The family chose the Church of St Mary Magdalene outside of London for the ceremony.
Little George stole the show though. He tried his fashionable hand wearing a jumper by Rachel Riley and his go-to shoes by Start Rite called the Jo First Walking Shoes. The little prince helped both his mother and father make the walk to the historic church and took a sweet moment to peer into the pram carrying his sister.
Pippa Middleton, the Duchess’s sister, was also at the ceremony wearing a pair of nude Charlotte Olympia heels and white coat and hat.
As a part of the ceremony the family also named the godparents of little Charlotte. Prince William’s cousin and Princess Diana niece Laura Fellowes was named, as were Kate Middleton’s cousin Adam Middleton, James Meade, Thomas van Straubenzee and longtime friend of the Duchess, Sophie Carter.
