Funnyman Will Ferrell is out to get a few laughs – and some street cred — in his latest comedy, “Get Hard.”
But the “Saturday Night Live” alum also is gaining some fashion cred along the way.
For his newest role in “Get Hard,” slated to hit theaters in March, Ferrell aims to look the part of someone who can handle himself in prison.
And what better way to look hip – and ask for protection from the gang known as Crenshaw Kings — than in a pair of blue, double-metal-bar Giuseppe Zanotti high tops?
The star of hits such as “Anchorman” and “Blades of Glory” complements his Zanotti kicks in camouflage pants, patterned fleece and an orange sleeveless vest.
Ferrell, who co-stars alongside fellow comic Kevin Hart, plays a convicted millionaire hedge fund manager who is sentenced to prison. Worried he won’t be able to survive inside the walls of San Quentin, Ferrell turns to Hart for tips on becoming tough enough to do time.
Absurdity soon ensues, as do a series of fashion faux pas.
