Leandra Medine is known for outfits that “repel the opposite sex,” but her footwear choices are anything but repellant.
The blogger and fashion personality chatted with FN at the CFDA Awards, where she was supporting friend and designer Rosie Assoulin, who won the Swarovski Award for Womenswear that night.
For the big event, Medine opted for quirky Charlotte Olympia wedges featuring sea life — lobsters and crabs. She’s such a big fan of the designer that if she were a shoe, she’d be be a Charlotte Olympia style.
Here’s Leandra Medine on the FN 3.
1. How many pairs do you personally own?
“Between 150 to 200.”
2. Heels or flats?
“Flats, but I love the ways heels look. I know it sounds obscene, but I totally feel like I’m a collector. I certainly don’t collect art, so maybe shoes could be my thing. I use them as book ends and stuff like that.”
3. If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be?
“I would definitely be a Charlotte Olympia shoe. She has so much fun with the design and lets her shoes speak for the entire outfit. They are exclamation points — and that’s all I want to be.”
