Emmy Rossum has an impressive collection of shoes, but she says she needs more.
The actress, who is a friend of shoe designer Paul Andrew and attended the CFDAs with the designer, has been running around in his shoes often. But you might also be able to find her in a classic Chanel flat.
Here, the “Shameless” actress talks all things shoes with the FN3.
1. How many pairs do you personally own?
“I would say probably 50 to 60 pairs of shoes. I’ve been wearing mostly Paul Andrew for the past few months, including his shoe [collaborations] with J.Crew and Tanya Taylor. I also wear a lot of Chanel and have their ballet flats in light blue, light pink, etc. I like Alaia for shoes that are fun. I don’t really work with a stylist, I’m self-styled, so in my world, I need more shoes.”
2. Heels or flats?
“I’m definitely a flats girl for every day, unless I’m going to a meeting where I feel the need to present myself in heels. Ordinarily, during the day I wear flats or a loafer, but at night I exclusively wear heels, even with boyfriend jeans or a t-shirt. When the sun goes down, the heels go up.”
3. If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be?
“A satin or suede strappy high sandal in a color. Something that’s fun and high enough to be sexy, but wearable. I never like the shoes to be so ridiculous that you can’t actually wear them. That’s how I cook and how I decorate my house, too: refined and elegant, but still touchable and a statement.”
