Contestants were charged with promoting the entrepreneur’s footwear collection and communicating its brand message. “We were thrilled to play such a big role in the episode and were especially excited to partner with Nordstrom for the task,” Trump wrote on her blog this morning.
Contestants were asked to set up Ivanka Trump #PowerUp trucks around New York City to promote the brand.
“Team Vortex” partnered with Top Hat Espresso Catering Company to hand out free coffee and set up charging stations to correspond with the Power Up theme. Inside the truck, the team showed off styles from the Nordstrom Ivanka Trump collection.
Team Infinity took the challenge in a different direction. They passed out green juice to consumers and built a seating area with a piano where people could relax outside the truck.
As reported in FN, Trump has been focusing heavily on her shoe line, which she produces in partnership with Marc Fisher Footwear, as she builds her namesake brand.
“Throughout history, that’s always been a tough decision — what do you do?,” Trump said. “She was so good, we decided we’d leave it. She was incredible and very inspirational, so it’s in memoriam to Joan Rivers.”
