Paul Andrew Talks Favorite Food Network Star + New York Inspirations

Paul Andrew had an unexpected seatmate on the plane to Paris from New York: Ina Garten of Food Network fame. “She was just like she is on the show, so open and friendly. Of course, she had no idea it was Fashion Week. But I got all of this great information about restaurants,” the designer said as he showed off his New York-inspired fall ’15 collection, which took cues from landmarks like The Chrysler Building, Times Square and the Brooklyn Bridge. Now Andrew has several new projects, including a men’s collection, following his big CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund win last year. And he recently returned from his first visit to China, where there “is so much opportunity,” he said. “Everyone is talking about the slowdown, but my business doesn’t really even exist there yet. I loved it, and I’m dying to go back.”
