Beyoncé might have some competition — and his name is Will Ferrell.
The comedic actor visited “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” for a lip sync battle. He performed an animated version of “Drunk in Love” by “Queen B, the one and only Beyoncé,” he said, while sporting a classic Adidas soccer style: the Samba in black and white.
And to show his support for Super Bowl XLIX, Ferrell wore a Seattle Seahawks sweatshirt despite the team’s loss to the New England Patriots.
Also in the first round, Jimmy Fallon followed with “Since You’ve Been Gone,” wearing a classic black patent lace-up footwear. Guest and fellow comedian Kevin Hart slowed things down a bit with “All of Me” by John Legend, while wearing white high-top sneakers.
It doesn’t stop there. For round 2, Ferrell continued to prance around in his Adidas, this time for a performance by “Adele Dazeem,” he said. What he meant, of course, was Idina Menzel, and he lip-synced her hit, “Let it Go.”
Fallon then took the stage for “The Time of My Life” from “Dirty Dancing.” And true to the film, the dance number featured special guest Drew Barrymore in a perfectly pink outfit, with pink pointy-toe pumps to match.
To close out the final round, Kevin Hart continued the Super Bowl celebration with a special performance of “Roar” by halftime perfomer Katy Perry.
Prior to the show, Ferrell showed his NFL support and loyalty to Pete Carroll’s team in an interview. (Ferrell is a USC alumnus, hence the connection to Carroll.)
“Unfortunately, I can’t get there until Sunday. I wished him luck. And I’ll be there wearing my Seahawks paraphernalia,” Ferrell told USA TODAY Sports.
He added, “I’m working on a film, ‘Daddy’s Home,’ in New Orleans with Mark Wahlberg, who’s the biggest Patriots fan. So there’s been a little tension on set right now.”
