Jennifer Lawrence just landed the lead role in the adaptation of “It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War,” the memoir of war photographer Lynsey Addario, to be directed by Steven Spielberg. Lawrence will be Spielberg’s first female lead in three decades.
According to Deadline.com, there was quite the bidding war over the photographer’s memoir. Warner Bros closed the deal with Spielberg attached to direct and Lawrence to star, with Andrew Lazar producing. This sounds Oscar-worthy already.
Others actresses looking to star in the film included Margot Robbie, Reese Witherspoon and Natalie Portman. If it were up to a shoe showdown, FN thinks Lawrence would still take the title. Take a look through our gallery of her top shoe moments, above, to see for yourself.
The “Hunger Games” star has already proven to be an outstanding actress, with an Academy Award-winning performance in “Silver Linings Playbook.”

Now Lawrence will play the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Darfur, Congo and Libya — where she was kidnapped by pro-Gaddafi forces during the Libyan civil war.
Lawrence knows when to up the ante for the red carpet, so it was a shame — for us — that Lawrence missed this year’s awards season.
She’s currently filming another David O. Russell film, titled “Joy,” in Boston.
Lawrence has been seen all over the snowy city sporting cold-weather gear, including booties by Tory Burch. Other favorite designers J Law wears when she does hit the red carpet range from Brian Atwood and Christian Louboutin to Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo.
