Sophia Webster has no doubts about Gwen Stefani.
With the Grammy Awards top of mind, the designer was anticipating seeing her favorite duo on stage.
“I’m super-excited to see Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine perform together,” she said before the event aired on Sunday. “I’ve been a lifelong fan of Gwen’s — she’s my ultimate girl crush.”
When Webster’s not rocking out, she likes to hit the books. Her most recent read? “Heights of Fashion: A History of the Elevated Shoe.”
Said Webster, who was short-listed for the BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund prize last week: “This book was given to me by the author, Elizabeth Semmelhack, on a tour around the archive at the Bata Shoe Museum last year. She must be one of the most knowledgeable people in the world on the subject of shoes. She is amazing.”
Earlier this week Webster shared her excitement at being up for the prestigious BFC/Vogue Fashion Fund Award with FN:
“It’s an honor to be short-listed for the award. To be mentioned in the same context as past winners is an accolade in itself. To win would make an incredible difference to my business, especially at this crucial stage of our development – from emerging to being a grown-up brand.”
