This week, FN’s sneaker columnist Stacey Griffith — senior master instructor at SoulCycle — goes for the Givenchy Tyson sneaker. See her thoughts on the style below:
“I have featured this style before, but I couldn’t resist this color scheme! You know that I have a tendency to veer toward a high-top sneaker as my own fashion splash, so let me explain why I chose this week’s sneaker.
With spring in full swing, I think it’s important to throw colors on your feet in a unique way, via unique patterns. The trick is not selecting sneakers that look like barf (because some do!). Certain designers think it’s fine to just chuck a bunch of color on one shoe — and quite frankly, it just doesn’t work for me.
What I love about the Givenchy sneaker team is the color palettes they use for all of the Tyson styles. The patterns, the lines, the stitching, the ribbing, the layers. It’s overall the best high-top on the market for casual, classy and splashy business. Wear them with no socks, skinny jeans, and a YSL hoodie. Slammin’!”
