Luxe fashion-comfort brand Anyi Lu is getting some New York exposure, with the opening of its first-ever pop-up shop. The five-day pop-up, located at 1 Horatio St. in the West Village, will be open from Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31.
The company is inviting consumers to test drive its new line of four-inch stilettos, marketed under the Signature Collection, a first for the 10-year-old brand founded by its namesake Anyi Lu. Orders can be placed at the store, with product then shipped to consumers.
The shop will showcase the Angel and Camille styles, the first two releases from the Signature Collection, officially launching this month on AnyiLu.com. Each is designed with cutting-edge technology that includes a memory foam insole, arch support, balanced heel and a customized platform with cushioned outsole for enhanced shock absorption for flexibility and support. Both styles retail for $525.
The company launched in 2005 by Anyi Lu, a former chemical engineer with a personal passion for ballroom dancing. She’s tapped her technical skills to her footwear design, while looking to dance shoes as inspiration for movement, flexibility and stability.
The collection, produced in Italy, also includes sandals, athletic-inspired casuals, tailored slings and platform bottom slides. According to the brand, the spring collection was inspired by the paintings of artist Paul Jenkins, with a nod to his use of vibrant mixtures of yellow, violet and red.
