Since its launch in 2009, Carolinna Espinosa continues to draw attention for its girl-on-the-go styles that emphasize style and comfort. The line has greatly expanded its retail presence in the past year and is now available at Lord & Taylor, Macy’s and select boutiques, as well as online.
For the fall ’15 collection, the line’s creative directors, Gianni Velasche and Charles Amar, pulled inspiration from the New York skyline and the lifestyle of the city’s residents.
Among the standout details: unexpected architectural details, like geometric buckle accents on the pumps and low metallic and sculpted heels.
The Liner pump’s modish shapes include a triangular heel, oversized detail on the toe and a patent accent at the base of the shoe. The Agnes black pump also draws on the trend of black and white, refreshing it by adding the accent to a geometric heel. The Bonnie, one of the line’s classic almond-toe styles, also employs a low heel, with a metallic accent that works well with the leopard print and black patent.
From classic low heels to motorcycle boots for weekend wear, the collection also plays up rich, opaque tones like magenta, eggplant and deep reds. The styles are made of Italian leather and retail from $245 to $525.
