Designer Tory Burch has successfully fused the magic of Marrakech with London’s Chelsea, merging the exotic visuals of the Moroccan city with the boho, laid-back vibe of one of London’s most popular boroughs.
Burch’s fall ’15 shoe collection is chock full of sandals, mules and boots crafted from supple leathers, suedes and velvet. Embellishment features heavily, particularly in the form of studs, metal heels and mini mirrors.
The Kingsbridge design has been adapted to offer sandals, mules and tall boots, all with the above detailing, while the carved metal heels on the Sarava designs are a standout element, adding a subtle yet perfect aesthetic bonus to the knee-high boots.
Burch’s mirrored mules in anthracite, along with the mirrored sandals in gold, will have you feeling like you’re wandering the bazaar in no time.
Discussing her inspiration for the collection, the designer said: “Marrakech meets Chelsea. Inspired by London bohemia, fall 2015 focuses on beautifully crafted embellishments, a mix of textures, carefully engineered patterns, bias cuts and the play of masculine and feminine. Accessories — including arrowhead jewelry, small saddlebags to oversized carpetbags, boots with carved metal heels and mules with studs — add to this bold mood.”
