After learning that Tom Ford would be eschewing the runway to present his spring ’16 collection via a video, the short film has landed and it has a particularly notable star: Lady Gaga. The video is available for viewing now at TomFord.com.
In the video, Gaga and models show off Ford’s latest collection via a fashion-filled dance party, which takes place on a light-up disco floor. Gaga even covered the classic song “I Want Your Love” by Chic for the affair.
As for the spring footwear highlights: models danced in Ford’s signature sexy stilettos, including pointy ankle-strap pumps in a yellow or magenta metallic leather, as well as a black and white leopard print.
With Ford’s show usually hosting a number of notable celebrities, it’s unsurprising he would recruit Gaga for the video. Other notable guests in the video include Lucky Blue Smith, who starred in Tom Ford’s fall ’15 menswear campaign.
Digital unveilings of collections are proving to be a rising trend. This season, designer Misha Nonoo also skipped a runway show and unveiled her collection on Instagram.
