In Her Shoes: Stacey Griffith’s Go-To Kicks This Week

This week, FN’s guest sneaker columnist Stacey Griffith — senior master instructor at SoulCycle — personalizes her own luxe Golden Goose kicks. See her thoughts on the unique style below:

“I’m mixing it up this week with my own custom version of the Golden Goose low tops!

In today’s sneaker world, it’s hard to be unique. Access to shoes is everywhere (if you’re good at sneaker hunting, you know what I’m talking about). I decided to break out my paint pens and take a trip to Blick Art Materials. I threw down $500 on unique spray paint colors so I can start customizing my own sneaker collection.

Yup, that’s right — I’m vandalizing, tagging, splattering and stenciling my own sneakers now. And so should you. Custom-colored laces can be bought at any sneaker hub, and don’t be shy if you draw like a kindergartner … that works best. I say channel your inner Basquiat and go for it. And share your pics with me!”
