In Her Shoes: Stacey Griffith’s Go-To Kicks This Week

This week, FN’s sneaker columnist Stacey Griffith—senior master instructor at SoulCycle—goes for a cushiony Adidas sneaker. See her thoughts on the style below:

“The Adidas Tubular Moc is redesigned by Off the Hook, a Canada-based shop. I got this shoe in the spring, but I think I may have to save it for fall. It looks ready to brave the elements, and feels like I’m wearing an old Moccasin from the 1980s—on top of an enormous marshmallow. Almost as if I am literally walking on top of the world’s greatest S’more!

This style is interesting to look at from every angle. The suede panels are super cool around the heel, and the toe stitching is very ‘campy,’ yet well thought out. To me, this shoe is a mini sculpture, and it will definitely add an inch and a half to your vertical existence. It can also be worn with any color or a great pair of jeans.

The earth tone scheme is also fun if you want to add a pop of color on top (I would go with orange or powder blue). Warning— I would avoid wearing this shoe with shorts, as it’s a chunky style that will definitely need some tree trunks above.”
