Kristin Cavallari, shoe designer for Chinese Laundry, said her “heart is in a million pieces” after news broke that her missing brother was found dead.
Cavallari reacted to the death of her brother, Michael Cavallari, 30, yesterday in a touching post on Instagram.
“My heart is in a million pieces,” Cavallari wrote underneath a photo of the two of them as children. “Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I’m at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP.”
The post comes after the body was discovered almost two weeks after a car belonging to Michael Cavallari was found in Utah.
According to the Grand County Sherriff’s Department, “at approximately 10:30 a.m. search crews located remains believed to be that of Michael Cavallari. At this time, the body is being transported to the Office of the Utah Medical Examiner for positive identification and to determine the cause of death. The search crews were searching the Salt Wash area, near exit 175 on I-70 in Grand County. The terrain where the body was located is a steep and very rocky area.”
Kristin Cavallari broke into the shoe business in 2012, launching a capsule collection called Chinese Laundry by Kristin Cavallari.
Since then, her line had broadened to include pumps, platforms, booties and flats.
