Jimmy Choo has just revealed an exclusive interview with Kate Hudson in which she discusses her style influences, her favorite red carpet and film looks and her favorite styles from Jimmy Choo’s fall ’15 collection.
Jimmy Choo’s fall collection draws inspiration from ballet, which Hudson has a personal connection with. “The beautiful thing about dance is you have this intense discipline, and once you have that foundation, you can feel free and let go,” said Hudson. “It applies to everything, even acting.”
Hudson cites the pink velvet ballet heels as her favorite Jimmy Choo style. “The whole look had a vintage Oscar de la Renta vibe to it,” she said. “It was so ethereal and relaxed.”
Although Hudson has worn the likes of Valentino, Alexander McQueen and Versace for major red carpet appearances, she still craves fashion that is comfortable. “I would say that my style sort of depends on my mood, but comfort is definitely the common denominator, which means a lot of pieces that are flowy and light,” said Hudson. “I’ve always been attracted to the ‘70s — sexy with a lot of freedom in the overall aesthetic.”
Who are her fashion icons? Julie Christie, Anita Pallenberg, Kate Moss and Cher.
