Jean-Michel Cazabat knows what women want. According to the designer, comfort needs to meet sexy on a heel.
For his spring ’16 collection, the designer turned to the ’70s for inspiration, crafting everything from color-blocked pumps to glitter snake-printed heels and neon sandals. Plus, he’s collaborating with Sophie Theallet for another season.
As for his personal collection of shoes, the designer has a thing for leather boots in a variety of hues.

Here, Cazabat takes a ride with the FN 3.
1. How many pairs do you personally own?
“I have numerous pairs of the same style of boot in different colors and leathers — 40 to 50 pairs.”
2. Heels or flats on a woman?
“Comfortable heels! It’s the one request I hear over and over from my customers: They want heels that make them feel confident and sexy, but they also want the comfort and ease of being able to wear them all day.”

3. If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be?
“A bold and fun strappy red leather sandal. A classic silhouette in exotic leather.”
