Not many 11-year-olds get to star in an advertising campaign, let alone one that is set to be an outdoor advertisement in major international cities. Frasse Johansson, the 11-year-old son of Acne Studios Creative Director Jonny Johansson, is starring in the label’s fall ’15 campaign, which will appear on outdoor ads in New York, London, Paris and Hong Kong.
Viviane Sassen, a Dutch photographer who has previously worked with Acne, photographed Johansson for the campaign.
In one photo, Johansson appears in a pink ankle length heavy coat with thick stitching, shield sunglasses, statement rings on his hands, a tote bag and gold, black and camel block heel booties.
Johansson also models a plaid wool coat with oversized sleeves, pants with a zipper bottom and pale pink boots.
Jonny Johansson said, “I’ve seen this new generation’s attitude to fashion, where the cut, the shape and the character of the garment is the crucial thing rather than seeking approval from society or to follow set norms. I immediately pictured Frasse, since he embodies this new breed to me. I asked him, and I’m happy that he wanted to be a part of the campaign.”
The fall ’15 collection will be available on acnestudios.com and in Acne Studios stores on Sept. 10.
