As reported earlier, the fall ’15 runways presented a number of wacky designer shoe styles for those who are ready to take risks. The current market is no different, with spring product offering a number of fun, outlandish shoes you can buy right now.
The eye-popping trend has burst onto both the men’s and women’s footwear scenes, with designers amping up classic styles with unconventional finishes.
Commes des Garcons Homme Plus leads the pack with its take on the extra-pointy Guarachero dance boot, a cultural piece spun for the masses (wearability aside).
Men’s brands like Christian Louboutin and Raf Simons take sneakers to new heights with technicolor studs and extra-thick flatform soles.
For women, luxury brands like Sophia Webster, Brian Atwood and Ruthie Davis make use of neon colorways and skyscraper-heel heights.

While the footwear here is technically ready to be worn on the streets, they should almost be treated more as art pieces or collector’s items, while less outrageous styles, like Webster’s flamingo heels, could bring that extra pizzaz for special occasions.
