After the debut of the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Sight Atlantic and Pacific in Venice, Calif., at the Kith pop-up shop, the tonal sneakers will make their way to New York for a Friday release.
The Atlantic, which was inspired by Kith’s New York City roots, uses darker, cooler blues. The Gel midsole is speckled with the custom “Just Us” written on the heel.
The Pacific, as you probably guessed, is all about the California cultural hub of Los Angeles. The shoes are much lighter, use brighter blue accents and take inspiration from the beach lifestyle of the city. Each shoe also comes with three pairs of custom laces and Ronnie Fieg stamped insoles.
The shoe release and collaboration are a part of Fieg’s West Coast Project, taking note of his bicoastal influence and also serving to help launch his temporary store location in California.
Along with the shoes, there are 14 pieces in the collection, including apparel. Fieg teamed up on a collaboration with California-based brands Stampd and Stance.
The shoe collab also marks the first reintroduction of the 1992 Asics trainers since their debut.
