The 101st Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner was held in Washington, D.C., on Saturday night.

The event, which is also fondly known as “nerd prom,” saw a slew of politicians, journalists, athletes, power players and celebrities come out to mark the association’s 101st year and to hear President Obama speak in a more, shall we say, “casual” manner than he does during a Presidential address. His jokes and jabs at media outlets, fellow politicians — and himself — drew big laughs from the crowd.

Watch highlights from the President’s speech below.

The night was hosted by “Saturday Night Live” cast member Cecily Strong, who entertained the crowd with a speech that followed the President’s.

Of course, with any event of this caliber, those in attendance donned their finest to walk the red carpet and enjoy a dinner while rubbing shoulders with other VIPs.
