In Her Shoes: Stacey Griffith’s Go-To Kicks This Week

This week, FN’s sneaker columnist, Stacey Griffith — senior master instructor at SoulCycle — goes for the Nike Air Max Zero.

See her thoughts on the style below:

“Apparently, this little gem of a shoe has been locked in the archives at Nike for 29 years (about the time I started collecting Nikes)! I was 12 years old when I got my first All Courts, with the big rubber toe. Cut to two years later, when I bought my first pair of Daybreaks, in tan with an orange swoosh.

I inherited this shoe from my friend Pilar, who recently binged at the Niketown in 90210. Buying three pairs, this style was in Pilar’s ‘regret pile.’ What drew me to this shoe was not only the pattern and fabric changes, but the navy and white colors mixed with the circle mesh on the outside. It is just super dimensional and sexy. Remember that this shoe has a bit of a heel, so my ‘shawty’ clan will be happy to kick up some height with a pair of white pants and a navy V-neck tee.

These are a great pair of kicks for spring ’15! They added the latest Nike innovations to this shoe, like the newly introduced Air Max 1 Ultra outsole (seen on the Air Max 1 Ultra Moire).”
