Celebrities turned out for the premiere of “Southpaw” in New York City on Monday night. The film hits theaters on July 24 and stars Rachel McAdams, Jake Gyllenhaal, 50 Cent, Naomie Harris and Forest Whitaker. Rita Ora also makes an appearance.
For the red carpet, the film’s female stars chose big-name shoe designers. Rachel McAdams paired her Self Portrait cutout dress with Stuart Weitzman Nudist textured black sandals.
Naomie Harris wore a white Cushnie et Ochs dress and added a splash of fun with her Christian Louboutin Bandy pumps. The yellow, pink and green PVC striped heels retail for $945.
Paul Andrew’s designs continue to be coveted for the red carpet. “Girls” star Zosia Mamet appeared in Andrew’s Horatio suede platform sandals. This summer, Emmy Rossum, Hailee Steinfeld and Emma Stone have all worn his shoes.
Rapper Eminem and actor Omari Hardwick both chose standout footwear for the event. Eminem wore Jordan 11Lab4 all-red sneakers, which retail for $250, and Hardwick walked the red carpet in distressed green lace-up shoes.
“Southpaw” tells the story of boxer Billy Hope, who must find a way to get his life back after losing his wife in a tragic accident and his daughter to child protection services.
