For this week’s column, FN’s resident sneakerhead Stacey Griffith chooses the Y-3 Qasa High. See her thoughts on the style below:
“For me, the packaging always speaks volumes about the shoe-collecting experience. These Y-3s came with a black box, an extra pair of wax-coated laces, and two dust bags (I love a good dust bag, although I usually stuff my jewelry in it when I travel).
“This shoe has a super-modern look. It’s a bit risky for some people, so it says a lot about your personality if you decide to wear it. The Y-3 spring ’15 collection isn’t playin’, with neoprene, chunky rubber angles and unconventional lace patterns. The big logo on the back always makes people approach me. And the best part? The shoes also come in a lower version with plastic highlights, if you’re more into that.”
