The “Shoe Oscars” come but once a year, and it’s always a time to celebrate. With big names like Eva Chen and Fergie in the crowd at Wednesday evening’s 29th annual Footwear News Achievement Awards in New York, there were plenty of shoefies and standout moments to be caught on Instagram.
While Kim Kardashian couldn’t be at the awards with her husband Kanye West, who took home the Shoe of the Year award, the star sent a special Instagram message to him for the big win.
Eva Chen too captured a standout moment with Social Impact Award winner Prabal Gurung, who encouraged everyone in the audience to give back.
We also loved Phillip Lim capturing Style Influencer of the Year, Alexa Chung, on the red carpet. Lim, a longtime friend of Chung’s, introduced the fashionista calling her the “coolest girl in the world.” Chung reciprocated with a post thanking Lim for attending with her.
The Adidas Originals executive team also made the big trip to New York City from Germany to help present Kanye West with his award and gave him a shoutout on social media too.
