Diane Kruger Reveals Favorite Shoe Designer

Diane Kruger hit New York City Thursday night for the Fashion Group International’s Annual Night of Stars Gala to present good friend Jason Wu with an award. Before heading in, Kruger revealed her go-to shoe designer to Footwear News, and, to some surprise, Italian luxury designer Gianvito Rossi gets the nod.

Back in May, the actress made a statement at the Cannes Film Festival with a repeat appearance of her strappy Gianvito Rossi sandals. She first wore the heels at the Martell Cognac 300th Anniversary at the Palace Of Versailles press conference, and then later at amfAR’s 22nd Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes.

Kruger also opts for Jimmy Choo, Prada and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes when it’s time to hit the red carpet.

At the FGI Night of Stars event, she paired a Jason Wu number with Jimmy Choo strappy sandals. For Kruger, this night was a special one.

“He’s been so generous with me over the years,” she told FN. “He’s made me dresses, notably one of my most beloved dresses, when I was nominated [and won] for a SAG Award for ‘Inglorious Bastards.’ He designed that mustardy yellow dress for me. To this day, it was a very special moment for me, and that dress marked it. I’m happy to be here.”
