Carrie Underwood can officially call herself a mom. The former “American Idol” champion and country superstar and her NHL star husband, Mike Fisher, welcomed a boy, Isaiah Michael Fisher, on Feb. 27.
The singer turned to social media to make the big announcement, posting a picture of her little one on Instagram and Twitter. “Tiny hands and tiny feet…God has blessed us with an amazing gift!” wrote Underwood. While she is loving the little hands and feet right now, we can imagine she’ll be extra excited when she sees all the sweet baby-shoe looks to stock up on, too.
It’s already been a whirlwind year for the singer, who took home a Grammy for Best Solo Country performance last month for “Something in the Water,” and she released her newest single, “Little Toy Guns,” in January. She also debuted her first greatest-hits album in 2014.
Underwood officially announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Labor Day 2014 when she posted a photo of herself with her two dogs wearing “big brother” and “big sister” T-shirts. Later, at the Country Music Awards in November, fellow country singer Brad Paisley spilled the beans about the sex of the baby.
