Carrie Underwood Shops For Cowboy Boots In ‘The Late Late Show’ Segment

Carrie Underwood knows a thing or two about cowboy boots. The country superstar appeared in a segment of ‘The Late Late Show With James Corden’ this week in which she went on a shopping trip with Corden to help him pick out a pair of boots.

Titled ‘Carpool Karaoke,’ the segment begins with Corden and Underwood singing along to her biggest hits in a car (from ‘Jesus Take The Wheel’ to ‘Smoke Break’). When Corden asks why cowboy boots are so important to country music stars, Underwood quips, “The boots are our roots.” Thus, shopping ensues.

The two wander into a Western-themed store, where Corden picks out a heeled pair of boots from a sea of shoes. “He wants some pizzaz,” Underwood tells the salesperson. But things come to halt when Corden sees the price tag: a cool $800. “That’s reasonable,” said Underwood. “That’s nothing. It’s an investment!”

“Oh, I’m sorry, we’re not all multi-platinum recording artists,” replies Corden.

Then Underwood has to help Corden get out of his snug boots — but something tells us he was fully capable of getting them off himself.
