Cannes Film Festival 2015 Red Carpet Shoes: Standout Celebs’ Looks

The 2015 Cannes Film Festival kicked off with a bang earlier this week, with the stars wearing their sartorial best for the red carpet at the annual opening ceremony.

While there were plenty of ball gowns, there were also a few peeks at the stars’ statement shoes. Karlie Kloss won for the sheer ability to stand out in this crowd with her silver half-jumpsuit/half-skort ensemble, played up with a pair of silver heels, both by Atelier Versace.

Isabella Rossellini also made an impression in a white Stella McCartney dress — with plenty of pizazz on the cape — and a pair of flat silver Beckett sandals, also by McCartney.

Always one to dazzle, Julianne Moore shone in Armani Privé, paired with black platform peep-toes.

Sienna Miller played it a little safe in Lanvin, but her simple heeled sandal was the right complement for the dress. Earlier in the day, she hit a home run wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga.

Natalie Portman also wowed in a red Dior dress and strappy sandals.

Other high notes included Lupita Nyong’o wearing a bright green Gucci dress and Naomi Watts in a full-skirted Elie Saab couture gown.

Following the opening ceremony red carpet, the events, photo calls and premieres have continued, with no shortage of standout celebrity shoe moments. Click through our slideshow for the all best moments from the 2015 festival so far.
